Welcome to ARAC and the Fight to Preserve Antibiotics!

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

We are The Antibiotic Resistance Action Center (ARAC), Milken Institute School of Public Health, the George Washington University. Welcome to our network and the fight against antibiotic resistance!

ARAC was created to preserve the effectiveness of antibiotics by engaging in research, advocacy, and science-based policy. ARAC is composed of epidemiologists, microbiologists, communications and policy experts focused on finding out-of-the box solutions to combat antibiotic resistance.

Here on superbugsarenotfunny.com, we are calling for better animal welfare practices on factory farms, more trusted labels in grocery stores and we are committed to raising awareness about the growing problem of antibiotic resistance and how farming practices are contributing to it. Our team is dedicated to providing clear information and educating the public on how we can all work together to protect the efficacy of antibiotics for future generations.

Not only do current farming practices harm human health by contributing to antibiotic resistance, but the animals on these types of farms are suffering. Improving the manner in which we raise animals is good for all, improves animal welfare, and reduces the overuse and misuse of antibiotics.

Follow along here and join our newsletter to join the resistance!
